Styling Tips To Elevate Your Bathroom

baby steps

Even if you’re not ready to do a complete renovation on your bathroom, there are small steps you can take to give your bathroom some TLC! You don’t have to spend a lot of money replacing your tile to transform your bathroom. A few simple decor changes can take any bathroom from drab to fab!

mirror, mirror on the wall

The bathroom mirror has seen a bit of a rebirth in recent years! It was once a highly functional, yet barely noticeable part of the bathroom! Now the bathroom mirror is often the focal point of the room and it's not just about functionality, it's about giving a room shape and style by enhancing it. Sometimes a sleek thin mirror is all you need to spruce up your room, but when appropriate I love sourcing mirrors with interesting materials and funky shapes!

can i get a “watt watt”?

If you’ve read my past blog posts, you’ve probably noticed the importance of lighting! Drab lighting can really date your bathroom and make it feel unwelcoming, but there’s an easy fix! Replacing a light fixture may seem intimidating, but we have so many resources out there to help us achieve everything. A simple tutorial online will show you that replacing that light wasn't so bad after all! If you feel that you don’t have space above your mirrors, adding linear sconces are a great alternative to helping you achieve an elevated design!

you can “handle” it!

You can significantly change the look of your room by adding cabinet hardware! Hardware is the hats, shoes, and bags of a room, and by choosing knobs and pulls that work together, you can create a space that works aesthetically. Proper hardware can add a great deal of design impact to your project, whether you are updating old cabinets or buying brand-new ones.

towels towels towels

Don’t throw the towel in just yet! The easiest way to upgrade your bathroom aesthetic is by upgrading your towel game, whether it’s your hand towel, bath towel or even bath mat! My go-to is any kind of Turkish towel because they make your bathroom feel expensive and intentional! I’ve linked many different kinds of towels to add a touch of luxury to your room!

welcome mat

It may not seem like it, but many times it can be challenging to find a good bath mat that will last! They either feel cheap or start falling apart within a few months! Having a good-quality bath mat is one of the steps you can take to add more personality to your bathroom!

scrub-a-dub-dub

It may seem silly to put thought into your soap dispenser or toothbrush holder, but I’m telling you, these are the little things that get noticed! Swapping out your soap dispenser for a beautiful ceramic soap dish will add a little wow factor to your bathroom counter!

final touches!

One of my favorite parts to styling a bathroom is adding a vase of some sort, and filling it with some dried flowers! It is so easy and shows that you put thought into your bathroom, plus it feels inviting! It is such an inexpensive way to enhance your room and make your bathroom feel complete!
