One of our values at Popix Designs is to elevate each client’s home by introducing a functional design, that is not only unique but also includes quality pieces of furniture and decor. We like to incorporate useful items that will stand the test of time and add aesthetic value to the home. We believe that using beautiful objects can enhance even the most mundane tasks around the house, and we seek to fill our client's homes with these meaningful and charming objects.
A lot of people assume in order to get the best quality, you have to pay up! Although this sometimes holds true, there is a price for quality over mass production. I have found plenty of artisans and makers around the world that are still creating quality pieces for fair prices. One of my favorite places to discover new makers is Etsy. Take a look below to see what has been catching our eye recently.
UNIQUE TEXTILES:
One way to add texture and pattern to a home is to select unique textiles from around the world. We love to mix different patterned pillows, incorporate hand-woven vintage rugs, and layer each space with intricate throws or unique towels. We love to look to Etsy for these things, and below are some of our favs!
HARDWARE
Many people don’t tend to think about how hardware affects a room, but they should! Hardware is meant for functionality, but it should also complement and enhance your designed space. On Etsy you can find just about any style of hardware, whether you’re looking for traditional knobs or uniquely shaped pulls!
LIGHTING
When choosing lighting, it’s important to think about selecting something that compliments your furniture choices. Lighting gives you a chance to add another material to the room. So if you have a lot of wood in your room, it might be nice to incorporate a brass or metal fixture. Currently, we’re crushing on brass, ceramic, and woven light fixtures!
ARTWORK
Most people know that artwork can deeply impact the feeling of any room. Whether it's a memory or a feeling, a piece of art can evoke powerful emotions when we look at it. Art can cheer us up after a bad day, make us remember, or inspire us to do more in life. Simply put, art is beautiful, and we believe every room should have some in it! Below are just a few of our recent discoveries. Each piece is sure to add texture and brighten up your home!

We love to finish designing a space by styling it with unique objects. Handmade ceramics are one of our favorite things to layer throughout a home. They add so much warmth and soul to any space. Below are some great picks. Please snag them before I do!
