Sustainability is always a priority when designing for my clients! I think it’s important to be aware of how our daily lives affect the planet, one of the ways I do that is by being selective with my tile choices!
This tile is produced from stone remnants taken from architectural projects in the eastern Mediterranean and artfully repurposed into tile planks. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s the most beautiful recycled material I have ever seen! I can vouch for how gorgeous this tile is because I’ve installed it in my own office. I love how eco-friendly and diverse the colors of the stones are. The earthy color palette is so my jam!
Palladiana is a stunning way of bringing personality to your space! Palladiana is a traditional Venetian technique of using irregularly shaped pieces of stone and laying them out like a puzzle piece. Marble Trend uses renewable materials to make sure their tile is sustainable for the environment!
Livden has always been an advocate for creating well-designed tiles while being eco-friendly! They use recycled materials for their tiles, but if you want to learn more, they have a detailed explanation of their process and materials on their website! Every single tile is full of well-crafted unique designs that will breathe life into your space!
Fireclay has declared to become 100% waste free by 2023! They truly take pride in making sure whatever waste is produced, is incorporated back into manufacturing new tiles. On their website, you’ll see the variety of tiles they have and I guarantee you’ll find the right one for your next project!
Classic Terrazzo dates back over 1500 years, and is having a major comeback right now! But did you know terrazzo is a great sustainable option? Terrazzo is made up of recycled glass chips, cement, and mixed marble scraps, making it an awesome eco-friendly choice!
Concrete Collaborative has created a sustainable process for manufacturing its products, one of which is recycling its concrete waste! Their products constitute 40% pre-consumer industrial recycled content, and their products are air cured so there are no emissions in the baking or firing process. Their product line is filled with a variety of special options to choose from, all of which are very design driven.
