So Last week I was sick and didn’t have time to post my progress, but I am feeling much better this week and I am happy to share some updates on Poppy and Pixie’s room. I tackled the closet this week, which wasn’t too hard at all. The girls closet is an abnormal size, and did not come with a shelf or hanging rack so those were things I wanted to add.
The closet before.
It was quite simple really, I measured the closet space, went to Home Depot and had them cut a piece of wood, as well as a round piece of wood, for the hanging rack. I painted them white at home, and then I had Matt drill the shelf into the piece of wood that was already in the closet. Matt also drilled the rod ends into that same piece of wood, and viola I had a new shelf, and hanging rack!
I then had the girls paint some pictures, and I tacked those to the closet so that they felt involved with the space as well. The paintings added some fun pops of color, to a rather dull closet, since the hubs wouldn’t agree to me painting the closet pink. I think it turned out quite nice, what do you think?
The rest of the room is coming together quite nicely! I actually just had my amazing photographer Jessica Alexander shoot the space today. I can’t wait to get the photos back, so I can show you all the big reveal next week! It’s going to be fun! Until then, don’t forget to check out all the other amazing participants here.
