I’ve always loved the look of burl wood! It has this natural warm organic texture that is just so beautiful. I love how burl wood can instantly add character to any space, and although it has become trendy, it’s not soo trendy where it’s falling off the shelves of every Target and Home Goods store you go to.
Burl wood looks and feels lux, it has this level of sophistication, and elegance, yet it still feels edgy at the same time. It is easy enough to incorporate into any space, as it can be mixed with loads of different styles. So take a peak below for some of my favorite burl wood pieces, high and low.
And just incase you have ever wondered what Burl wood is, it’s actually made from A burl, which is a tree growth in which the grain has grown in a deformed manner (usually when the tree is under a lot of stress). The burls are cut off the tree, but the tree doesn’t need to be cut down to use the burl wood, which makes me feel even better about buying burl wood furniture :)
