Introducing our latest project, a stunning full home renovation in the beautiful neighborhood of Santa Monica. Our client's love for watching the sunrise while sipping their morning coffee became the driving inspiration behind this transformation. We set out to create a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the four bedroom, five bathroom home, incorporating earthy materials, organic shapes, and a touch of brass to capture the essence of those serene morning moments.

Enter through a gorgeous curved entryway with block windows that shimmer into the inviting living room, opposite of the home office where the ceilings do all the talking!

In the kitchen, we embraced the beauty of organic shapes and materials to create a space that was both visually appealing and welcoming. Custom elements took center stage, adding a unique touch to the overall aesthetic. The cylinder-like handles on the cabinetry provided a modern and contemporary feel, while the travertine front for the island became a striking feature, exuding a timeless charm. The attached travertine table seamlessly connected to the island, offering a functional and practical space for dining and gathering. The brass hood added a touch of elegance and sophistication, complementing the overall design scheme. It blended harmoniously with the unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures found throughout the home, creating a cohesive and unified look.

The clients did not want the TV to be visible from the kitchen, so we designed this custom media console that concealed the TV when not in use. The walnut crescent shape resembles the shape you see during a sunrise, and felt perfect for The Sunrise House!

The Bespoke media console is beautiful when the TV is in use, and stunning when it is not!

In the laundry room, we carried the same playful and fun design elements from the kitchen, creating a cohesive and unified aesthetic throughout the home. The trim on the white oak cabinets were crafted with the same style and finish as the kitchen, connecting the two spaces together. To add interest, we incorporated a muted yet eye-catching floor tile that added a playful twist to the space.

In the powder room, we embarked on a special journey to honor our client's Indian culture and infuse the space with its rich heritage. To achieve this, we carefully selected an exquisite folk wallpaper that showcased intricate patterns and vibrant colors, reminiscent of traditional Indian culture. The wallpaper became the backdrop for the entire room, enveloping it in a tapestry of richness. To further enhance the room's character, we introduced a raw, organic concrete pendant. Its natural texture served as a striking contrast to the refined millwork and the vibrant wallpaper.

The guest bathroom was transformed into a serene spa-like retreat. The vanity, featuring cane doors and brass handles, added a touch of understated elegance and natural beauty. Inside the shower, the gentle allure of the zellige tile created a soothing mosaic of neutral colors, while a delicate woven sconce with subtle brass accents cast a warm and welcoming glow, inviting guests to relax and rejuvenate in a tranquil ambiance.

As we ascend upstairs, we encounter a bathroom adorned in a gorgeous color combination of muted teal on the shower walls and terracotta tile that was laid in a unique pattern on the floor. We added arches on the custom vanity to compliment the walnut arch niche that we designed for added beauty and functionality.

For the kids' bathroom, we infused a delightful charm by incorporating colorful teal kit kat tiles in the alcove bathtub/shower combo. The custom vanity we designed had an integrated pull out step, allowing the little ones to reach the sink independently. It's a bathroom that combines practicality with whimsy, ensuring a space that delights both children and adults.

We added crescent shaped finger pulls to playoff the sunrise shape again!

The integrated pull out step is perfect for helping the little ones get to the sink on their own. Plus you push it in, and the vanity grows with the children!

We didn’t get a chance to photograph the kids room, or the guest bedroom, but the playroom sure did turn out cute!

Finally, the primary bathroom greeted us with a sight that stole our breath away. A stunning green tile stretched across the entire back wall behind the vanity, radiating beauty and tranquility. The custom vanity boasted brass detailing on the legs and playful brass pulls, adding a touch of whimsy. On the other side of the bathroom, a magnificent zellige tiled ledge framed a beautiful bathtub, accompanied by a brass and woven flush mount light. A spacious walk-in shower with unlacquered brass plumbing fixtures completed this bathroom oasis.

In this full home renovation project, inspired by the client's love for watching the sunrise, we transformed a Santa Monica residence into a warm and inviting space. Earthy materials such as brass, wood, and organic tiles were used throughout the four-bedroom, five-bathroom home, creating a cohesive and harmonious design. From the kitchen with its custom brass hood and travertine features to the spa-like bathrooms adorned with cane, zellige tiling, and brass finishes, each room showcased its own unique charm while maintaining a consistent aesthetic. The result is a home that reflects the client's vision, providing a serene and stylish sanctuary to start each day anew.
